The tutorial part of the Summer School of Slavonic Studies programme of UJOP Charles University includes 100 lessons (20 teaching days / 5 lessons per day). The course price includes textbooks and internal teaching materials. The students will be tutored by a professional team of UJOP Charles University teachers with many years of experience in teaching Czech. The social and cultural part of the programme takes place in the afternoons or evenings and at weekends.

The summer school of the Czech language at UJOP Charles University is traditionally traditionally held in the charming spa town of Podebrady with a colonnade, a healing spring, parks, restaurants and a wide range of cultural an social activities. The classes are held in the heart of Podebrady, in a 14th-century castle which has a large garden where many of the afternoon and evening events of the programme take place. To travel from Podebrady to Prague, you can use direct and regular train connections – you will be there in 50 minutes.

The scholarship of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports covers tuition fees, accommodation and meals in the form of meal vouchers. The scholarship for the full SSSS programme is open to applicants aged 18 and over in 2024. You will find information on the scholarship on the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports website.

The scholarship for participation in the Summer School of Slavonic Studies of UJOP Charles University is provided by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports. The SSSS of ILPS CU is not the provider of the scholarship nor does it make the decision to grant the scholarship.
Students of the Summer School of Slavonic Studies of UJOP Charles University in Podebrady will be accommodated in a hotel house (Dormitory 2) in double rooms with private bathroom. The rooms are equipped with bed linen, towels, free WIFI. There is a shared kitchen on each floor (oven, microwave, kettle, hob). A washing machine can be used for a fee. The hotel house is non-smoking.
Meals for self-payers are not included in the price of the course. Summer School of Slavonic Studies of UJOP Charles University participants can use a number of cafés and restaurants in Poděbrady. There is a shared kitchen on each floor (oven, microwave, kettle, hob).
